ArtBase: Art For Schools

Being creative is a vital part of a child’s education. It offers a unique contribution to a pupil’s personal development and has a positive impact on their wider achievements. Our art workshops for schools are a great way to expand and compliment existing art programs.

Art is an important means for self-expression, imagination, play and experimentation. It enhances children’s cognitive processes, problem solving and thinking. It gives them the opportunity to communicate in ways other subjects don’t. ArtBase endeavours to provide children with rich experiences, good quality materials and the skills and confidence to express themselves.

ArtBase will work collaboratively with schools to create a tailor made programme to suit your requirements. We offer a variety of services from 1-day workshops to longer term projects. We will work closely with you to produce a high quality experience for your pupils and staff with outstanding results and fabulous displays! Both Beth and Georgina hold current, fully enhanced DBS checks and public liability insurance.

ArtBase also offers CPD workshops for teachers and staff. At each workshop you work with a professional artist to achieve the following:

  • Learn new skills through participation in fun and effective hands-on art activities
  • Gain fresh ideas for delivering arts-based lessons back in the classroom
  • Develop confidence for exploring your own creativity
  • Increase arts knowledge and the work of artists
