Hare and Thistles Painting

Create this beautiful hare with thistles painting! We introduce you to a variety of techniques, to create different effects, including sponging to layer up colours, blending with light and dark tones, brushstrokes to produce texture and we add finishing touches with splats and pencil work.

You will need: Art paper approx A3, pencil, ready mix or acrylic paints in black, white, blue, red, yellow ochre, burnt sienna or any other brown. Paintbrushes a larger and smaller size. A small sponge (a washing up sponge cut into quarters is fine!). We also include a template to print out if you want a little helping hand to get started!
